The Bel Air campsite can be found in L’Aiguillon-sur-Mer, a charming little village of 1,043 hectares. This village of 12km in length and 700 metres in width happens to be the most south-westerly village in Vendée. Geographically speaking, L’Aiguillon-sur-Mer stands where the River Lay joins the edge of the dry marsh of Saint-Michel-en-l’Herm. It is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by the strip of dunes on which La Faute-sur-Mer stands.

For your holidays in South Vendée, the Bel Air campsite features a superb water park. Discover our 4 giant waterslides, up to 11 metres high to give you 158 metres to slide down. The outdoor heated pool, the paddling pool with children’s play features and the water play area let you enjoy some quality family time. Not into cold water? Then head for the campsite’s indoor heated pool, complete with children’s paddling pool and a jacuzzi.

The Bel Air campsite is located in a village on the Vendée coast that’s just overflowing with treasures: the fishing port, the Marais Poitevin, picturesque market towns, beautiful sandy beaches and much more... You'll find it in the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park, a stone’s throw from the vast Pointe d’Arçay beach. Go for a bike ride to explore the beautiful landscapes of the bay of L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer. Visit Maillezais Abbey and soak up the atmosphere of this history-steeped place through the activities and shows. Just 800 metres from the campsite, you’ll discover the fishing village where you can go swimming or sailing on the lake. A little further away, 2km from the campsite, it’s easy to reach the sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast, between La Tranche-sur-Mer and La Rochelle. Take the time for a day trip to La Rochelle and Les Sables d’Olonne, where the legendary Vendée Globe yacht race all began. And make sure you don’t miss the chance for a boat trip in Venise Verte (Green Venice, a “Grand Site de France”).

The Spacebowl is a sensational slide where you will move swiftly down a path to arrive in a large bowl. The winner is the person who makes the most laps! (Minimum height requirement : 1m20)
For thrills, the tsunami and its buoy can be experienced alone or in pairs! Hold on tight; once you get to the top, here we go again, but in reverse! Its access is authorised for those measuring more than 4 feet.

A paddling pool complete with its own water slide, otherwise known as the snake, for children under the age of 6. Children can swim and slide in the safety of this attraction.

Ideal for children under 3 years of age, our colourful and playful paddling pool allows toddlers to experience the joys of swimming with their parents.

The Patau-splatch is a large, fun paddling pool for kids aged 2 to 6 years. Have fun sliding down three of its entertaining slides, burst out laughing underneath the huge bucket of water, and amuse yourselves by spraying each other with water from the jet

Opening hours of the water park : 9:30 - 20:00. Swimming shorts are prohibited (boxers or briefs allowed). Toddlers must wear diapers specially designed for swimming. The bracelet must be worn. For children who cannot swim it is mandatory to wear inflatable armbands.

FUN DOSE

People have different expectations when it comes to their holidays. Some prefer quiet holidays where they spend time with family and relax. Others prefer sports and a party atmosphere.

With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.

No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.

On this campsite the Fun Dose is red. This means there is a lot of entertainment provided!

From Monday 8th July to Friday 30th August 2024, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:

-The Clapou Club (4-6 years old) and Policator Club (7-10 years old) welcome children from Monday until Friday, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

-The Nobodys (11-17 year olds) meet up twice a week.

-We offer evening entertainment 5 nights a week, 4 entertainers, aqua gym every morning and an almost non-stop super fun day and evening program until midnight!

-Entertainment on French campsites starts from the 8th July (in French). On Dutchbox campsites the French animation team includes 1 Dutch speaking entertainer.

In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from Saturday 6th July to Sunday 1st September 2024.

My favorite campsite. The water park is perfect for the whole family. Are they older already? Then they will certainly have fun in the Tsunami and other slides. All this water fun is accompanied by the typical southern French song of cicadas.
